In collaboration with Asher Levine and Spectral Design Studio, we conceptualized, live casted and sculpted Beyoncé’s body, creating an organic textile swirling along her curves creating a feel of movement and a mirroring effect.

The sculpted textures resemblance of the female anatomy; the organs and feminity of the femme fatale that she wanted to portray at the Mrs. Carter’s World Tour.

Live casted mask for “Mine” Beyoncé’s music video.

The video of “Mine,” released as part her eponymous album. Beyoncé moves slowly, the lighting is pure and clean, she wears a heavy veil and a strapless dress that gives the illusion of marble, like the surface of a sculpture. A male model is resting on her lap. It is a direct reference to Michelangelo Buonarroti’s La Pietà, the Carrara marble renaissance sculpture finished in 1499 and considered one of the greatest works of one of the greatest artists of all time.
